Goodby Radio. Hello Bandcamp.

I don’t know about you, but I get irritated by the play list on the radio. I’m not saying it’s wack music. Well I guess I am. But can we get something other than the same sound? Is that to much to ask for?

I guess it is because to me, it seems like every “new” artist is a reincarnation of the one who just was told that they will no longer have a record deal because their ratings have dropped.

I spend a lot of my time at work in front of the computer screen. Who doesn’t? Unfortunately, my jobs web filter blocks Pandora, so  I was forced to find an alternative. And that’s when my Google search returned Bandcamp to me.

It’s refreshing to finally have a collection of music that’s from the heart. Granted, you still have a few watered down signed artist on Bandcamp, but for the most part, you have pure underground music that’s been floating beneath the radar for years.

So when you need a break from the radio, and you just so happen to be in front of your computer, or you have your smartphone in hand, check out Bandcamp.

P.S. I prefer the “hip-hop” tag. But they have tons to choose from.
